Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Prompt Response: I felt that summer break did not last that long. When summer break started I thought that it would last a long time; however as soon as I knew it, summer break was over. In Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" the idea is that nothing good will ever last forever. In my case, summer break did not last long and did eventually end. Connecting with the idea that nothing good can ever last forever and it will eventually end.

Summary: Worked on our PowerPoint presentation, I was not here so that is all I know.

Reflection: Nothing gold can stay is a very strong phrase that is also very true.
