In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Prompt Response: At the beginning of last year when I first came to lakeside Highschool I felt like an interloper. I did not feel like I belonged here and I felt out of place. It was weird not knowing anyone and it was a lonely experience going to school. I found school boring because of that and felt unmotivated to do anything but I eventually did form some friendships. Forming those friendships help me get rid of that feeling of being out of place. Although this year, junior year, I do not have any of those people in my classes which is sort of disappointing.

Summary: We worked on an assignment in commonlit about a short story called "The Interlopers" by Saki.

Reflection: I thought that assignment was relatively simple.
