Prompt: Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.
Prompt Response: I feel that it was sort of a hassle to use because sometimes I would find a source that would align with my topic but when I would click on the source, it wouldn't have a document and would just be an abstract. Using specific search strategies such as search phrases and filtering your search help significantly when trying to find sources. Filtering sources makes sure that you only find sources you are looking for. Search phrases make finding sources easier and quicker. Evaluating sources also helped me a ton because there were many times I found a source with a title that matched my topic but in the abstract it would talk about something that was not so helpful.
Summary: In class we began gathering sources for our group folder.
Reflection: Galileo is a useful website but I also feel that it could be better. As stated before, I would find sources that would only contain an abstract without an actual document.
