Prompt: Reflect on your reading of Into the Wild chapters 1–10. Which chapter stood out to you the most, and why? In your response, explain what specifically made this chapter meaningful, interesting, or impactful. You may consider elements such as McCandless’s actions, a key event, a theme, or Krakauer’s storytelling.

Prompt Response: Chapter 6 stood out to me the most. It stood out to me the most because I felt really bad for Franz. Franz had lost all his family and was an alcoholic who had little left. McCandless filled that hole in Franz's heart and was like family to Franz and made him happy. It was a shame that McCandless died and was no longer able to be there with Franz. I feel bad for how it must of felt for Franz, to have gained some sort of family after losing them all, just for that person to tragically die.

Summary: Today we took a quiz on chapters 1-10 of Into the Wild.

Reflection: I am finding the book really interesting so far and I wonder what happens next.
