Prompt: The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?

Prompt Response: When I was around 12 or somewhere near that age, I was in Florida for the summer. It was night time and we were car pooling back to our hotel. A cop pulled us over and I was not sure the reason, but I think it might have been speeding. Our driver, my uncle, was taken by the cops and someone else drove. When we got back to the hotel, one of the adults went to bail out my uncle and get him back. It changed my perspective of the trip. It was a fun trip but that one moment sort of scared me.

Summary: Today we did a pop quiz and watched an adaptation of "A Rose for Emily."

Reflection: I believe I'm decent at the process of elimination. It's a very useful method.
