After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt response: My most absurd personal moment was late at night one day. It was around two in the morning and I had decided to turn off my laptop and go lay on my bed. I went to turn down my phone volume while closing my laptop, I had repeatedly pressed the button I presumed to be the volume button. However, when I closed my laptop and looked at my phone, I saw the emergency services about to be called. The button I had thought was the volume button was the power button and by repeatedly pressing it caused the phone to contact emergency services. I was frightened that the cops were going to be called and go to my house, so I hang up the call and power off my phone. I lay in bed, hoping I did not contact the cops.

Summary: In class we analyzed the poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity."

Reflection: I learned that poetry and literature comes from the heart and is about truth.
